Beschrijving

The empty tomb shows that Jesus is true to His Word. We can trust that when He freely offers us the forgiveness of our sins, the resurrection proves that He has the authority to do so. Easter changes everything! From the cross Jesus forgave His enemies, and it is by His sacrifice on the cross that we are forgiven and transformed from being enemies of God to being His forgiven people. Receiving the forgiveness of God changes our eternal destination but it also affects our heart, mind, and soul. So, as we walk with Jesus to the cross and the empty tomb of Easter, in this sermon series we are looking at what the Bible teaches about forgiveness and how it impacts our lives today.

The Generosity of God | Spiritual Capital (Matthew 6:33 & John 15:5)

What is Spiritual Capital and why is it the most important of the capitals? In addition to spiritual gifts, spiritual capital also includes the gifts where God’s Spirit is at work, such as through His Word (the Bible), through prayer, through forgiveness, and through our God-given identity as His beloved child, because identity is a powerful gift from God. The Bible reveals that our generosity comes from our generous God, and so we begin by looking at His generosity toward us. God provides for us, especially in the areas of the five capitals - Spiritual, Relational, Intellectual, Physical, and Financial. In this series we will be looking at the framework of the five capitals not so much as self-disciplines, but rather as opportunities to pass along the generosity we’ve received from God.
