June 14, 2026 ~ In the United States, about 30–40% of the food supply is lost or wasted each year, which translates to roughly 103–194 million tons of food. Danielle Todd, the executive director of Make Food Not Waste, joins Michigan Voices to discuss how the organization is saving good food from going to landfills. Across the country and here in Michigan, thousands of our nation's veterans are facing daily challenges navigating mobility limitations caused by service-connected injuries. Their programs have served over 300 men from low-income families in Detroit. Spaulding for Children is a private nonprofit child welfare agency founded in 1968 and based in Southfield. The organization works with states and agencies nationwide on foster care, adoption, and post-adoption.
