Scriptures: Matthew 5:4 - Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Psalm 147:3 - He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. 1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

No one escapes failure and disappointment. So, we might as well plan on it and prepare for it with a view to profiting from it. Disappointment is a gauge of how a person perceives his life—what he believes about it and wants from it. Alexander Pope’s infamous beatitude, “Blessed is the man who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.” To live is to be disappointed
