Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1187714/fan_mail/new] Happy Mother’s Day!  Temperatures will run well below average for most of the week ahead, and while there’s finally some improvement in the wind department, it’s definitely not going to feel like mid-May for several more days. We’re looking at mainly dry conditions overall with just ONE meaningful rain chance in the week ahead. We’ll also update our latest drought status, talk about why lawns across Southern New England are suddenly growing like crazy, and why now is definitely NOT the week to skip mowing the grass. Plus… daylight continues piling up fast, sunsets keep pushing later, and we’re quietly approaching one of the most beautiful stretches of the entire year around the South Shore. All that and the full weekly weather preview from May 10 – May 17, 2026… NEXT, on episode #243 of Obsessed With the Weather. Enjoy!  Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1187714/support]

242: Weekly Weather Preview for May 3 - May 10, 2026

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1187714/fan_mail/new] A big warm-up is set to kick off the week ahead but it won’t come quietly. Wind will be a major player, with several blustery days on the way. We’ll also track a few chances for rain as we move through the first full week of May. A notable daylight milestone was reached this week, and we’ll break down what that means moving forward. Our latest drought status is in — are we gaining ground or still falling behind? And yes… snow in May? We’ll revisit just how rare that really is around here. Meanwhile, spring bird migration is ramping up in a big way; one of the best stretches of the season is arriving right now. All that and the full weekly weather breakdown for May 3rd through May 10th, 2026… NEXT, on Episode #242 of Obsessed With the Weather. 🌦️🌬️🐦 Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1187714/support]

240: Weekly Weather Preview for Monday April 20 - Sunday April 26, 2026

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1187714/fan_mail/new] Temperatures are set to run well below average for late April, and yeah… it’s going to feel like it too. But there’s a flip side, we finally start drying things out, as a much quieter, drier pattern begins to take hold across southern New England. We’re also watching the subtle seasonal shift, daylight is still increasing, but the big gains are now behind us. We’re adding minutes, just not at that rapid March pace anymore… still counts though. We’ll also check in on something that continues to matter more than it should this time of year, our ongoing drought status and how this recent stretch of weather is (or isn’t) helping. And a great seasonal question: When is Boston’s average last freeze? The answer might surprise you and it matters more than ever as we head deeper into spring planting season. All that and your full weekly breakdown for the final full week of April from April 20 - April 26, 2026… NEXT, on Episode #240 of Obsessed With the Weather.
