I've reached year eight, so what next? I've just had the latest hospital results and seen my consultant. I've completed three months of an alternative protocol and awaiting further advice. Where do we go from here? Stay tuned and find out shortly. Five years on

In January the prognosis was 6-12 months. It’s July 2025 and my 7th month still here, still feeling OK. I don’t know if the alternative protocol is working as I feel pretty much the same. I’ll have new test results in a few days time so will have everything to consider then. Don’t miss it. Alone (short poem)

You're alone with your thoughts or so it seems But then there are all these faces of people some you may know A crowd, everyone saying something different You're trying to listen But you don’t hear anything Just a noise Then they're all gone Alone again Time passes like small grains of sand through a hole Never coming back Your life one piece at a time disappearing That’s no different for everyone Ask yourself Is it different from yesterday now that you have Cancer? Think about your thoughts, they're important Every day from now on you're alive until your not So living is more important than it’s ever been You have the advantage, you should know that Make a change small or big, your choice I did and I have no regrets Oh and don’t think about how many grains of life you have left No one knows the answer OK, well don’t just stand there You're alone, get on with it You make it count, you hear?
