Page 281 - An Example from Prophet Ibrahim’s Life
In this episode,of Sūrah An-Naḥl (verses 120-128), Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Hanif reflects on Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) example as a leader devoted to Allah, thankful for His blessings, and firm in following the truth. Allah guided him to the right path, promising blessings in this world and the Hereafter. We are reminded to follow his example by staying true to Allah’s path and avoiding shirk (associating others with Allah). The lesson also teaches the importance of patience, especially in times of hardship. Allah encourages us to respond with wisdom and patience, as those who endure will be greatly rewarded. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was also taught to trust in Allah and remain patient, knowing that true patience comes from Him. In times of difficulty, we must trust in Allah’s plan and seek His guidance.
Page 280 - The Importance of Obeying Allah سبحانه و تعالى
In this episode of Sūrah An-Naḥl (verses 112–119), Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Hanif explains how Allah uses the example of a city once blessed with abundance and security, which faced hardship when its people denied His favours. Despite a Messenger being sent to them, they rejected him, leading to their punishment.Allah reminds us to be grateful for His lawful provisions, encouraging us to avoid declaring things halal (lawful) and haram (unlawful) without His guidance. He forbids only what is harmful, and for those in need, He is Forgiving and Merciful. The verses also show that previous nations wronged themselves by disobeying Allah’s guidance, yet Allah offers forgiveness to those who repent and correct their ways. These verses teach us to recognise Allah’s blessings, stay humble, and seek His mercy and forgiveness when we fall.
Page 279 - The Clarity and Guidance of the Qur'an
In this episode of Sūrah An-Naḥl (verses 103–111), Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif highlights the false claim by disbelievers that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was taught by a foreigner. However, the Qur'an is in clear Arabic, revealing divine truth. Those who reject Allah’s verses will face severe punishment for their lies and obstinacy. Shaykh Dr. Ahsan Hanif also points out that while those forced to renounce their faith may be safe in their hearts, those who willingly choose disbelief over faith will incur Allah’s wrath. Their preference for worldly gains over eternal rewards seals their hearts, making them the ultimate losers on the Day of Judgment. Yet, Allah’s mercy is vast. For those who emigrate, fight for Allah, and remain patient, Allah promises forgiveness. . On the Day of Judgment, every soul will stand alone, pleading for itself, and will be justly compensated for its deeds, without any injustice. This passage serves as a reminder of the Qur'an’s clarity and the consequences of rejecting Allah’s guidance.
Page 278 - Trust in Allah Over Temporary Gains
In this episode of Sūrah An-Naḥl (verses 95–102), Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains that Allah warns us not to exchange His covenant for temporary worldly gains, because what He has is far better and everlasting. Whatever we possess in this life will end, but Allah rewards the steadfast and righteous according to the best of their deeds. He assures that every believer, male or female, who does good will be blessed with a good life and rewarded in full. When reciting the Qur’an, we are instructed to seek Allah’s protection from Satan, who has no authority over those who truly believe and trust in Allah, but only over those who follow him blindly. The Qur’an is a clear guidance, reassurance, and good news for all who submit sincerely to Allah.
Page 277 - Allah's Warning Against Deception
In this episode of Sūrah An-Naḥl (verses 89–94), Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains how the Qur’an guides us as a mercy and clear explanation for those who submit to Allah. The verses teach us to be just, generous, and honest, warning against breaking promises or using oaths to deceive others. They remind us that Allah tests everyone, decides who is guided, and that on the Day of Judgment, all actions and wrongdoings will be made clear.
