“A Red, Red Rose”is a 1794 song in Scots by Robert Burns based on traditional sources. The song is also referred to by the title "(Oh) My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose" and is often published as a poem. In it, Robert Burns declares the intense love he feels for another. He compares his love to a rose and insists that his love will be everlasting. After indicating an impending separation, the speaker concludes by insisting that his love will endure while the lovers are apart.
