Rain, Drains, & Bioswales
Jenna Parks Freeman, Interpretive Naturalist at Prophetstown State Park, shares about her daily adventures with park guests and critters, the history of the park, and the exceptional experiences people who visit can have. Prophetstown is located where the Tippecanoe River meets the Wabash River. The park’s landscape has been shaped by glaciers, water, fire, and humans that maintained the tallgrass prairie. Native American people lived along the two rivers for thousands of years. Listen for an inspiring journey through Jenna’s eyes and the captivating landscape of Prophetstown State Park. –Show Notes– * TICT [https://tippecanoecountyswcd.org/tict-2]-Tippecanoe Invasive Cooperative Taskforce * Prophetstown State Park [https://www.in.gov/dnr/state-parks/parks-lakes/prophetstown-state-park/] * Home | Farm at Prophetstown [http://prophetstown.org/#sthash.aMqg7UxE.nwDLD3dW.dpbs] * Gene Stratton-Porter [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gene_Stratton-Porter] * World Rivers Day [https://worldriversday.com/]
