We welcome Anthony to the Rod's Cast! He has extensive experience in the non-profit sector. He has served as a grant writer, consultant, compliance officer, and deputy CEO over the years. Currently, he is the CEO of OIC of Washington and also serves on the boards for EPIC, the College Success Foundation, and the Yakima Schools Foundation. So, when he says he’s in the “helping people business”, he means it. He is truly dedicated to helping people and has put his words into action. Anthony Peterson, welcome to Rod’s Cast. In Your Shoes - Gabby Chavez

Every October, we host an annual gala called In Their Shoes to raise money and awareness for our mission. That got me thinking about how we can best share the stories of the young people we serve. These bonus episodes will feature a different young person. We hope it gives some insight into the lives of young people in Yakima County and what it’s like living in their shoes.

Rod's House Welcomes Drew Harris

Our first guest is someone you probably already know. Whether you’ve seen his face on a billboard in town, bought a house from him, or served alongside him on the local rotary, Drew Harris has probably crossed your path at some point. Drew has been described (mostly by me) as Yakima’s Fairy Godfather. A successful businessman (and now family man), Drew makes an active effort to support his community in more ways than one, including serving on the Rod’s House Board of Directors.
