When something in our body hurts, most of us immediately ask: "How do I make this stop?" But what if there's another question worth asking first? In this episode of the Rooted & Renewed podcast, I share a personal story about an unexpected season of foot pain and how it became an invitation, not simply to search for another solution, but to slow down, pay attention, and ask better questions. Drawing from the words of Jesus to "ask, seek, and knock," this conversation explores the posture of curiosity in the healing journey and why awareness often begins not with having all the answers, but with becoming willing to notice what God may be revealing through the ordinary moments of life. Together we'll explore: • Why our first response is often to fix rather than notice • The difference between solving a problem and learning from an experience • How curiosity creates space for awareness • Why not every symptom has a hidden meaning—but every experience can become an invitation • What it means to "ask, seek, and knock" in our healing journey • How asking better questions can lead to deeper wisdom This isn't a conversation about ignoring symptoms or avoiding medical care. It's an invitation to approach healing with a different posture. One of curiosity instead of condemnation. Awareness instead of urgency. And trust instead of fear. Because maybe healing doesn't always begin with another solution. Maybe it begins with a better question. "What is this experience inviting me to notice?
