What if India became Bharat in 1915? What if Bharat had it's own version of French revolution? This episode is a story of a man who almost made it happen. Find out how an ordinary man with a heart of a lion and cunning of a snake nearly outsmarted British in an effort to rid them from his motherland. You may come away convinced that this man would be a serious contender for the title of the "father of the nation". After all, the British didn't praise Indians with these words: "If this man had been an Englishman they would have built his statue besides Nelson in Trafalgar square".

Peshwa Baji Rao - Part 1

We all know the fantastic exploits of Napoleon sometime in late 1700s. We have also been taught about Admiral Nelson and courage in meeting Napoleon's challenge on the seas. In this episode, we're going to meet someone who was greater than Napoleon in land conquests and military strategy and more cunning than Nelson when countering sea facing powers. The name of this personality is Peshwa Baji Rao - one of the finest sons of Bharat. Although his life was only of 40 years, his exploits are so numerous and audacious that one episode cannot fully capture them. In this episode we will see Baji Rao arrive on the stage of Bharat amidst fighting Martahas, Mughals and Siddis. Hopefully, the episode is able to convince you that Baji Rao was no ordinary Peshwa - he was a prodigy born solely to subdue Mughals and usher in the age of Marathas.
