09 | Who is on Trial - (Holy Week Episode)

Jesus was put on trial. Or at least… that’s how the story looks at first. In this special Easter episode of Seeing Their Faith, we walk through the events of Holy Week as one unfolding trial, full of witnesses, accusations, power plays, and a final verdict. But by the time we reach the empty tomb, one question remains: Who was really on trial the whole time? And what does the resurrection reveal about truth, power, and the kingdom of God?

08 | In the Wilderness

John the Baptist’s message is simple, but unsettling: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” In this episode, we explore how the wilderness isn’t just a place in Scripture. It’s a decision point. A space between kingdoms where we’re invited to choose our direction, our allegiance, and our king. If you’ve ever felt stuck in the in-between, this episode is an invitation: You’re not lost. You’re being invited.

07 | Where is God

Where do we go to find God? In the time of Jesus, the answer seemed obvious: the temple. It was the center of religious life, authority, and access to God. If you wanted forgiveness, truth, or connection with God, that’s where you were supposed to go. But when the story of Jesus begins in the Gospel of Mark, something surprising happens. John the Baptist appears not in the temple, but in the wilderness, calling people to repentance and baptizing them in the Jordan River. Crowds leave the city and travel out to him. And when Jesus arrives and is baptized, heaven is torn open, the Spirit descends, and God’s voice is heard. Not in the temple. Not through the religious authorities. But in the wilderness. In this episode of Seeing Their Faith, we explore what this moment reveals about where God chooses to show up, and why it matters. From Moses in the wilderness to Jesus standing among ordinary people in the Jordan, Scripture repeatedly shows a God who meets people outside the systems of power, in places where anyone can come. The question “Where is God?” turns out to have a surprising answer. God is not locked behind walls or reserved for the religious elite. God meets people right where they are; even in the wilderness. And that’s very good news.

06 | Words of Life

John 6:60–69 In John 6, many of Jesus’ disciples walk away. Not strangers. Disciples. His teaching becomes difficult, and what once drew crowds suddenly feels too costly. Why do people leave? Is walking away from church the same as walking away from Jesus? What do we do with doubt, disappointment, and deconstruction? In this episode, we sit with Jesus’ honest question: “You do not want to leave too, do you?” And with Peter’s response that still anchors faith today: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” An invitation to look beyond religious noise and rediscover the life-giving words of Christ and to consider what it means to stay with him.

05 | The Bread We’re Actually Hungry For

After feeding five thousand people with a few loaves of bread, Jesus becomes wildly popular. The crowd goes looking for him the next day because they are hungry for more. But instead of repeating the miracle, Jesus gives them something far more challenging. In John 6, Jesus says, “I am the bread of life.” Not bread that fills your stomach for a few hours—but bread that sustains your very life. What follows is one of his most difficult teachings, centered not on achievement or performance, but on dependence. Why does the crowd push back? Why does this teaching cause people to grumble? And what does it mean for us to trust Jesus? Not just for what he can do, but for who he is? This episode explores the difference between wanting a provider and surrendering to a king, and invites us to consider what we are actually hungry for. Because sometimes what we think we need most isn’t what truly gives life.
