Instead of pre-filling our responses, we are invited into a place of receptivity where God Himself gives what is needed in the moment. A call to pause, open, and receive before we speak.

Hating Your Family?

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2599147/fan_mail/new] A pattern that kept popping up around the time we published the Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! episode was Jesus' use of the word "hate." At first glance, His words can seem shocking and even contradictory to His teachings on love and compassion. Yet in Luke 14, Jesus makes a challenging statement when He says: "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be My disciple." Did Jesus really mean for His followers to hate their families? What was He communicating to those who desired to follow Him? In this episode, we dive into the context and meaning of Luke 14, exploring the cost of discipleship and what it means to place Jesus above every other relationship and priority. Join us as we unpack this often misunderstood passage and discuss how it applies to every believer's walk with Christ today.

The Wisdom of Pruning

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2599147/fan_mail/new] In this episode, we walk through John 15–16 and unpack the reality of spiritual pruning—when God leads us to release what is no longer bearing fruit so that we can grow in greater alignment with Him. This applies not only to relationships, but also to alliances, partnerships, jobs, and seasons of assignment that may have reached their end. Instead of waiting for things to build up over time, we talk about the importance of regularly taking stock of our lives—learning to discern what is still fruitful and what may be past its season. Pruning is not rejection; it is intentional care. It makes space for growth, clarity, and deeper fruitfulness in what God is leading us into next. If you’ve been sensing transition or tension in a current season, this episode will help you process it through Scripture, wisdom, and trust in God’s timing.

Mayday, Mayday, Mayday!

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2599147/fan_mail/new] While we usually release new episodes and tidbits on Thursdays, we felt a pressing to spontaneously record and share this episode earlier due to specific things the Lord was highlighting. On May 1st, a brother shared a dream that carried a certain weight. As Sara read it, it stirred a memory of her own dream from September 11th, where a similar pattern unfolded—a scene repeating itself. In this episode, we discuss the principle of what it means when a dream repeats and why it’s important to pay attention. In Scripture, Pharaoh received two dreams with the same message, and Joseph discerned that the matter was established and would soon come to pass. We share both dreams and explore how, even though they occurred over a year apart, they point to the same message from God—confirming what He is speaking. It is time to stand firm. It is time to be ready. Even during times of trials, hardships, and persecution that are coming, we as Christians must hold firmly to the teachings of Jesus Christ and His apostles. This episode is a warning to pay attention to what the Lord is saying. "For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night." Let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober."  1 Thessalonians 5:1,6.
