Street Preachers
To the Street Team, scattered across cities and nations, grace and peace be multiplied to you in Christ Jesus. As we continue our journey through the letter of Peter, we are reminded that following Christ has never promised the applause of men. The people of God have always been strangers in the world, citizens of another Kingdom, and witnesses in places that do not always welcome the truth. In this episode, we consider what it means to live faithfully in hostile territory. How should believers respond when they are misunderstood, opposed, or treated as outsiders? How do we stand firm without becoming bitter? And what does it look like to represent Jesus in a culture that grows increasingly resistant to Him? Peter reminds us that suffering for Christ is not evidence of God’s absence, but often confirmation that we belong to Him. Though the world may reject us, we have been chosen by God. Stand firm. Do not grow weary. Continue the work entrusted to you. “For this finds favor, if for the sake of conscience toward God a person bears up under sorrows when suffering unjustly.” — 1 Peter 2:19 NASB95 If this conversation strengthens your faith, share it with someone else and invite them into the journey. Grace be with you all.
