Malcolm Gladwell says if you commit yourself to 10 000 hours of practice, diligence and study, you have a better chance of reaching the top 1%. The principle of 10 000 hours is true but Malcolm Gladwell made one underlying assumption, that the set of skill you require to succeed don't change. And if they change it means that you got really good at doing something that is not of value to the consumer. In the modern day, speed is more important than time spent.
