Talking Golf - 06/02/2026 - FULL - Jack Druga

In this edition of Talking Golf, Ann previews the 126th U.S. Open at legendary Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, as the championship returns to one of golf’s most demanding and historic venues June 18-21. Founded in 1891 and one of the five founding clubs of the USGA, Shinnecock will host the U.S. Open for a sixth time, adding another chapter to its remarkable legacy.   Ann is joined by Jack Druga, who served as Head Professional at Shinnecock from 2007-2022 and was at the center of the action during the memorable 2018 U.S. Open. Jack shares behind-the-scenes stories about playing practice rounds with Tiger Woods, his inside perspective on the controversial 2018 setup that had players complaining about course conditions, where spectators can find the best vantage points around Shinnecock, and which players are best suited to handle the challenges of this iconic links-style test.
