As Jesus prepares His disciples for His departure, He knows they are filled with confusion, fear, and sorrow. Yet rather than leaving them discouraged, He gives them hope. Jesus promises the coming of the Holy Spirit, who will guide, comfort, and strengthen His people. He assures them that their sorrow will one day turn to joy and that, despite the troubles they will face in this world, they can have peace because He has overcome the world. As Jesus gathers with His disciples on the night before the cross, their hearts are troubled as well. Everything they expected seems to be falling apart. Yet in the middle of their fear, Jesus gives them a promise that still speaks to us today: “Let not your hearts be troubled.” This is easy to hear, but a reality that's hard to live.  In this message, we discover how Jesus meets troubled hearts with three incredible gifts: a secure future, access to the Father, and His abiding presence through the Holy Spirit.
