In this Episode I'm interviewing Augusta, Georgia based MMA fighter Jennifer Waters. Fighting as a strawweight, her signature style is kempo karate. Episode 5: When Trolling Becomes Terrorism

Todays episode is a solo monologue. It’s my intent to do a podcast a week, alternating between an interview and a monologue on a topic that’s either relevant or covers one of my interests. Episode 4: Myostatin Antagonist Applications With Dr. Mark Hamrick of Augusta University

In this episode I talk to Augusta University's Dr. Mark W. Hamrick. The focus of Dr. Hamricks research is to improve human health by discovering new therapeutic approaches for preventing muscle and bone loss with aging and enhancing muscle and bone repair after injury. He and his team are particularly interested in defining the cellular and molecular mechanisms of crosstalk among bone and soft tissues such as muscle and fat so that these pathways can be targeted therapeutically in order to prevent and treat bone fractures. In the area of muscle-bone interactions,  myostatin (GDF8) is a powerful inhibitor of muscle growth and regeneration, and myostatin deficiency significantly increases muscle mass.
