Former Police frontman, Sting, says he plans to leave his six children none of his estimated US$550-million fortune, arguing that an inheritance could rob them of the motivation to build their own lives. He says they’ve been taught to work for what they want rather than expect a handout. Is this fair?

From Saskatoon to the world: George Pesut’s hockey journey

Former Saskatoon Blade and NHL hockey player George Pesut has had a colourful hockey career spanning three decades and 21 professional teams across North America and Europe. He has written a book, The Fourth Period: Between the Ice Sheets; Hockey on Two Continents. He was in Saskatoon this past weekend promoting it and signing copies. The controversy behind race-based data

The RCMP started a Race-Based Data Collection Initiative in 2024 in four different communities across the country to better understand whether race or systemic bias is affecting policing outcomes. The initiative recently expanded to include Craik, Saskatchewan as well. But what is Race-Based Data collection?
