Have you ever confused people-pleasing with genuine kindness? What beliefs about being "good" are you still carrying today? How might your life change if your needs mattered just as much as everyone else's? In this episode, I explore "The Good Girl Trap" and the invisible belief that being helpful, dependable, and self-sacrificing is the price of love and belonging. I explain how these learned patterns often lead to people-pleasing and self-silencing, causing us to ignore our own needs in order to keep the peace. I discuss why healthy love must include self-respect, self-compassion, and boundaries, and encourage listeners to redefine what it means to be "good." I close with a reflection exercise to help identify old beliefs, celebrate moments of self-honoring, and begin building healthier, more balanced relationships with themselves and others. Coming Home to Yourself: The Invisible Woman

In this episode, I explore the idea of "the invisible woman" and why so many women reach a point where they feel exhausted, disconnected, and unsure of who they are. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with me?" I encourage a more compassionate question: "What happened to me?" This shift replaces shame with understanding and helps uncover the deeper reasons behind burnout and feeling invisible. I explain that losing ourselves rarely happens because of one dramatic event. Instead, it is usually a gradual process of putting everyone else's needs first, taking on multiple roles, and slowly forgetting the person beneath them all. Over time, we can build a life that appears successful on the outside while feeling unfamiliar on the inside. I also discuss why so many intelligent, caring, and loving women lose touch with themselves, emphasizing that understanding our story is the first step toward healing. By asking, "What happened that made this response make sense?" we create space for self-compassion instead of self-judgment. However, understanding alone is not enough. It is the first step across the bridge back to ourselves, but real transformation begins when we choose to respond differently. Healing is built through small, everyday moments of practicing compassion toward ourselves. I close by encouraging listeners to treat themselves with the same kindness they so freely offer the people they love, because healing begins when we become gentler with ourselves. Coming Home to Yourself: Prelude

What if healing isn't about becoming someone new? Have you ever felt like you've lost touch with yourself while caring for everyone else? Could curiosity, rather than fear, guide you back to who you've always been? In this prelude to Coming Home to Yourself, I explore what it really means to heal—not by becoming someone new, but by remembering who you've always been beneath fear, expectations, and the roles you've taken on for others. I share why so many women feel disconnected from themselves, how therapy has changed the way I understand healing, and why creating space for curiosity is more powerful than striving for perfection. This episode is an invitation to gently reconnect with your authentic self and begin the journey of coming home to who you truly are. The Invisible Woman: How Did She Become Invisible?

When did being "nice" become more important than being yourself? What if your feeling of invisibility comes from learned behavior that you can unlearn? How can authenticity break the mold of invisibility? For many women, invisibility doesn't happen overnight—it develops through thousands of small moments where belonging is rewarded more than authenticity. From a young age, we're often taught to be agreeable, accommodating, and self-sacrificing, which can lead us to disconnect from our own needs and voices in the pursuit of acceptance. When we repeatedly suppress our emotions and authentic impulses, our bodies often carry the burden. Stress, tension, headaches, digestive issues, and other physical symptoms can become signs that we're ignoring what we're truly feeling. Our bodies are constantly communicating with us, and learning to listen is an essential part of reclaiming ourselves. The encouraging truth is that invisibility is learned, which means it can also be unlearned. While choosing authenticity over people-pleasing may feel uncomfortable at first, it ultimately leads to a more fulfilling and aligned life. By tuning into our bodies, honoring our emotions, and showing up as who we genuinely are, we can move beyond the "good girl" expectations and become fully visible in our lives and leadership. You Are Not Your Diagnosis with Diana Rice

Are you treating yourself like a diagnosis, or like a whole person? What becomes possible when you create safety before trying to create change? Could the way you begin your morning shape the way you experience the rest of your day? In this episode, I sit down with Diana Rice, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, and founder of Through the Valley Therapy. Diana shares her holistic approach to helping people move through fear, regulate their nervous systems, and remember that they are more than any diagnosis they may carry. We explore why creating safety is often the first step toward meaningful change and how fear can keep us stuck when our minds and bodies are dysregulated. Diana explains how she combines approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and unconditional positive regard to help clients build resilience and healing. We also discuss the importance of separating your identity from a diagnosis. Diana shares why labels can be useful for accessing support and treatment, but should never define who you are as a person. Finally, she offers practical strategies for supporting your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being, including the simple but powerful practice of protecting your morning routine. Whether you're navigating anxiety, fear, or a season of personal growth, this conversation offers encouragement and practical tools to help you move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.
