One Year Later: Reflections on Abortion and the Fall of Roe (Episode 4 of 4)

In the summer of 2022, my family and I took a two-week road trip from Wisconsin to the east coast of the United States and back. On the second day of our trip, the United States Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade and ended federal access to legal abortion for woman across America. I had a lot of time to think about the issue across 2,700 miles and 50 hours of drive time, and I wrote four posts for The Fix Liberty Project on the topic last summer. The posts pre-dated The Fix Liberty Podcast, however, so I have never shared them here. One year later, my reflections on abortion, life, individual liberty, sex, marriage, equal culpability, political liberty, dehumanization, and exceptional cases remain relevant to our national conversation. This summer, I am recording and publishing my thoughts in podcast format for the first time in a four-part miniseries called "One Year Later: Reflections on Abortion and the Fall of Roe." This is Episode 4 of 4, in which I share my thoughts as originally published at The Fix Liberty Project on June 25, 2022. You can find the original post in the show notes here [https://fixliberty.com/podcast/july-2023-miniseries-4].
