The Grown-Ups Are Talking
After 70 episodes, The Grown-Ups Are Talking is coming to an end-- but before you panic, this isn't really a goodbye. It's a rebrand. In this solo episode, I'm opening up about why the podcast that's followed me through my twenties- through career changes, city moves, and everyday adulting- doesn't quite fit where my life is headed next. So I'm talking through the real reasons TGUAT is ending, what it's felt like going from podcast producer to incoming Harvard Law student, and what's replacing this show: a new podcast about law school life, the 1L experience, and- eventually- what it's actually like building a career as a young lawyer. Still adulting, still figuring it out in real time, just with a legal profession lens now that law school is going to be my whole world for the next few years. I also get into the practical stuff: I'm taking a proper break to enjoy the rest of summer before 1L starts, I'll be mostly offline in August, I'm easing back in come September, and things get fully underway once 1L spring hits. If you're applying to law school, studying for the LSAT, starting your own 1L year, or just curious what law school at a place like Harvard Law actually looks like day to day, this is the show to follow going forward. And if you know someone in that boat-- a future law student, a fellow LSAT-taker, anyone considering the leap into legal education— send this episode their way. Finally, I want to hear from you. Email me or comment your thoughts on the past 70 episodes: what you loved, what you didn't, what you want the new show to be called, and what you want covered once we're deep into law school and legal career territory. Thank you for 70 episodes of growing up alongside me. This next chapter is going to be a good one.
