This episode focuses on the southeastern Native American tribal witch, in the Muscogee language, we call Porrv (pronouced boh-thuh). Sometimes witches take the form of owls, known as stekene or tskili depending on the tribe. Other times witches take the form of dogs. A witch in Native American culture can be anyone, even your grandma!  Reference Sources: Solomon Hotema, witch killer, news article: https://thislandpress.com/2012/11/09/the-life-and-death-of-a-choctaw-witch-killer/ Solomon Hotema court case: https://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/186/413 Photo of Solomon Hotema: https://gateway.okhistory.org/ark:/67531/metadc231786/m1/1/ Raven Mocker story from Myths of the Cherokee by James Mooney: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/45634/45634-h/45634-h.htm Oklahoma Seminoles: Medicines, Magic and Religion: https://www.amazon.com/Oklahoma-Seminoles-Medicines-Religion-Civilization/dp/0806118709
