Alexana Cabrera was born and raised in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. She knew at an early age that she wanted to pursue a career as a chef. With an adventurous, independent, and entrepreneurial spirit, at 18, she moved to San Antonio to pursue her career. Chef Alexana leads her team as Chef de Cuisine at the critically acclaimed and nationally lauded Mixtli. Recently, Mixtli was awarded a Michelin Star, the first and only one making history in San Antonio.
