Our goal is to give you all an opportunity to gain knowledge on finding the perfect mentor, how to properly approach a mentor, and the importance a mentor plays in one’s career choices. Today, we sit down with Mrs. Rasheeda Bodies-Forbes as she shares with us a brief explanation of the purpose of mentoring, which is to tap into the existing knowledge, skills, and experience of high performing employees and transfer these skills to newer or less experienced employees in order to advance their careers. Du Bois' concept of “double consciousness.” The following podcast is aimed to help women navigate race and gender in the workplace through the eyes of female leaders, and to develop leadership potential for minority women.
