Raising Your Awareness Changes the World

We've been taught to see ourselves as divided. We may say we're body and spirit, or have five koshas or energy bodies, or that we're composed of body, mind, and spirit. And yet, if I were to ask you to separate what is mind, body, and soul, could you do it without resorting to meaningless abstractions? I suspect not, because duality and separation is an illusion. What we call spirit is experienced as higher awareness. When people are looking into their heart's mind, that also is a form of higher awareness. No matter what your spiritual practice might be, it's always about attaining higher awareness. So then, is there truly a corporeal or physical level, or is this just a level of awareness, too? Creating Your Reality Through a New WorldView

Each of us are creating our reality by what we believe and accept to be truth. This goes far deeper than merely seeing things differently from others. Each of us are literally within a box made of mirrors reflecting back what we already believe. Within this box, our truths are true. Whatever we believe, is true. If we believe the sky is gray and the grass is blue, then that is what our reality actually looks like. If we pray to a god of anger and retribution, then that is how our god works within our life. Language, Worldviews, and Spirituality

What does Spirituality and Worldviews have to do with Language? More than you may realize. I don’t know whether worldviews determined the nature of the language or languages created the worldview, but it doesn’t take more than a cursory look at low or high context languages to see how they mirror the worldview of the culture's speakers. Asians tend to value community and possess philosophies/religions that promote a holistic view/relationship with the world. Westerner’s value individuality, and possess philosophies/religions that promote a person-centric mindset. This makes it particularly difficult for Westerners and Asians to communicate effectively. What is considered polite in one culture is considered rude in the other. What is considered obvious in one culture is consider obscure and even indecipherable in the other. This takes on even more significance when one culture appropriates the sacred texts or philosophical writings of the other and interprets it based on their own pre-existing language and perspective. The result is not an accurate rendering of the original writings, but a syncretism/merging of two different worldviews into something new, and it deserves a new name to identify it as something different than the original, because it is different than the original. Grow Where You Are Planted

The world doesn't feel safe for many people, for many reasons. One of those reasons is the warmongering coming from so many different sources. If you took a moment to really listen to what's going on, you can see how fear is used to control every aspect of our lives. As long as we're afraid, we will submit to whatever is necessary to feel safe. That's not thriving. That's not growing. What is fear, except darkness? And what is darkness, except the absence of light? If you want the light, be what you are: light. Darkness is the psychological box you live in, filled with false beliefs, limitations, and feelings of separation from your Higher Self. In other words, darkness if made up of fear and lies.
