Over three thousand photographs of women. Taken without their knowledge. Without their consent. Some of them upskirt shots. Started, by his own admission, as a joke to share with mates on WhatsApp. Then a curator got involved. And a publisher. And Rolling Stone. And a prestigious Milan gallery. And suddenly it was art. This week, Italian photographer Ray Banhoff resurfaced to talk proudly about Fie, a project he made between 2012 and 2015 (approx).
