The Motorsport REView - 2026 Belgian Grand Prix Review

Shall we have a Spa weekend? Formula 1 returns to one of the most iconic circuits on the calendar for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa Francorchamps. F1's longest circuit is a wild ride up and through the picturesque ardennes forest, with breathtaking corners such as pouhon, and of course the Eau Rouge and Raidillon combination - perhaps the most impressive view in all of Formula 1. The layout of the circuit lends itself for teams to take some grid penalties in order to put new PU components into the pool for the rest of the season, and 2026 was no exception. Perhaps the only surprise was how few drivers had penalties! Could a somewhat shaken up grid and the ever present threat of rain at Spa produce an exciting Grand Prix? With the 1 week break in the Formula 1 calendar allowing us to focus elsewhere, we decide to focus on... erm, Formula 1... But not just Formula 1, as we allow ourselves to get fully embedded within the rumour mills, the wild speculation, and just blue sky thinking that sees every driver seemingly linked with every team as the F1 silly season gets into full swing... Since silly season can be, well, silly... We have assembled our ultimate silly team in the form of Perry, Eddie and Luis. After the fun of the Sprint race at Silverstone, the scene was set for the Grand Prix itself. Qualifying provided a few thrills and spills, but not nearly as many as the LEGO parade lap! The race itself didn't fail to deliver on talking points, and a controversy or 2 as well... The British crowds had already seen 2 home heroes claim a Sprint podium, would they be treated to more after 52 laps around the fast Silverstone circuit? Over half of the teams and almost a quarter of the drivers are from the UK, meaning the British Grand Prix weekend is amongst the busiest on the calendar. And that is before the Sprint returned to Silverstone for 2026, the place where the very first Sprint race took place in 2021. The Motorsport REView - 2026 Austrian Grand Prix Review

The hills are alive with the sound of F1! One of the most picturesque circuits on the F1 calendar, they styrian mountains provide the background for the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring. A short and fast circuit where most of the tracks length is long straights separated by tight hairpins. A fast final sector with flowing corners ensures that lap times are the quickest of the season at just over a minute. With laptimes so short, the margins in qualifying become that much closer too. And it was Saturday that seemingly dropped the biggest shocks with a scintillating and controversial end to Q3. Perry and Luis discuss all of the drama around George Russell's pole position, plus of course all of the entertainment that the race itself provided!
