Our latest episode talks about our visit and presentation at the Peninsula Chapter of SHRM 2022 conference in Newport News, VA.  After sharing our thoughts and experience regarding the conference, we provide an updated perspective for people looking switch (or want to become) to the organizational Development field.  In short, experience is key!  You can have all the degrees and certifications but possessing varying experiences to level up those communication skills is still the best way to pursue success in this work!

Ways to Resolve Conflict in the Workplace

How often does conflict surface in your workplace and how well do you feel like it is handled?  In this episode, we discuss basic, applicable skills individuals can use to assuage and resolve conflict.  Having arguments and disagreements doesn't have to be a competition! The Accountability and Experience Relationship

Whether its surfing the internet, playing a video game or carrying on a prolonged conversation with a colleague we are always surrounded by interruptions prevent us from performing our best and/or hold us back from achieving career and personal goals.  And you know what? Its ok - it's something we all share!  But how do we manage and hold ourselves accountable and focused when we face the temptation of engaging in a distraction? In this episode, I share a theoretical framework that I use to coach with clients which has proven to increase their focus and concentrated performance by reducing the number of distractions they experience.... and lets face it, with more jobs going either hybrid or fully remote - we can all use a little help to keep those distractions at bay!
