00:00 – 26:40 – Greg Rakestraw fills-in for JMV and starts the show reflecting on the sports weekend before previewing what will be talked about on a show with multiple guests. We’ll be talking about the IndyCar test, High school football season around the corner, the Indiana Fever falling to the Minnesota Lynx yesterday, why Colts’ camp has been boring, but that’s a good thing. He goes through the long list of quarterback controversies at Colts camp over the years. Lastly, we will be talking about what’s happening in college sports, specifically IU and the news that Sam Alexis is trying to use a fifth-year to come back to IU. 26:40– 41:17 – IndyCar VP of Communications Dave Furst joins the show to recap how the weekend went with the new IndyCar that took place at the track. He explains the differences between the current DW12 and the IR28. He also looks to the end of the IndyCar season and what to expect in Portland and in Washington D.C. 41:17 – 48:38 – Greg gets into the news that Indiana and Notre Dame cancelled their future home-and-home series. He looks at the future non-conference schedules and explains why the Hoosiers should be able to do what they want since they are the national champions. 48:38 - 1:10:18 – Kyle Neddenriep of the Indianapolis Star joins to discuss high school football gearing up, what games he will be eyeing in week 1, some of the other high school stars that we should be paying attention to, as well as previewing some of the conference races. Greg revisits his take on the Fever before his conversation with Mick Tidrow, as well as his Colts thoughts. 1:10:18 – 1:25:46 – Sideline analyst for the Indiana Fever, Mick Tidrow, joins to talk first about what nickname Greg gives him. Then, Mick discusses the Fever’s loss yesterday to the Lynx and how they’ll move forward with their offensive firepower combined with a desired defensive improvement. Also, how have they handled the distractions? Mick is also the voice of the Ball State Cardinals, so he previews the football season and new men’s basketball coach Chris Capko. 1:25:46 – 1:31:28 – Greg revisits his Indiana football schedule conversation. He explains why he understands both sides of the argument when it comes to Notre Dame and Indiana cancelling the future home-and-home. 1:31:28 – 1:55:58 – ESPN’s Stephen Holder makes his weekly Monday appearance and starts with what we’ve learned at Colts camp. He brings up Sauce Gardner’s ability and why it will be more noticeable this year. Also, CJ Allen’s easing back off the PUP list, could the Colts play two rookie linebackers? What does the market look like for a receiver and the latest update on contract extensions on the Colts roster, including Quenton Nelson. Lastly, Stephen explains that it’s hard to gauge where the backup QB battle lies. 1:55:58 – 2:13:51 – Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com joins to dive into the scheduling conflict Indiana and Notre Dame ran into. He marvels at the amount of media coverage at Big Ten media days last week and how his job has changed because of Indiana’s football success.
