Colossians 1:28-29 "Be Complete and Mature in Christ" (Friday 6/12/26)

Colossians 1:28–29 reminds us that the goal of Christian ministry is not merely conversion, but maturity in Christ. Paul proclaims Jesus, teaching and encouraging believers so that every person may be presented complete and spiritually mature before God. Though this work is demanding, Paul labors with confidence because it is Christ’s power at work within him that makes such ministry possible.

1 Peter 2:1-3 "Hungering for God and Spiritual Maturity" (Thursday 6/11/26)

1 Peter 2:1–3 reminds believers that spiritual growth requires putting away attitudes and behaviors that damage Christian community—malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander. Like newborn infants craving milk, Christians are to hunger for the pure nourishment of God's Word so that they may grow into maturity and salvation. Peter's exhortation is grounded in experience: those who have tasted the goodness of the Lord should continually seek Him as the source of life, strength, and growth.
