Safe Harbour is an illustrated storybook for children who have been bereaved by suicide. It has been developed by bereavement experts (both professionals and people with lived experience) to help a child with their grief by encouraging conversations and developing their understanding of death and suicide. This podcast was produced to help parents and carers use Safe Harbour, and to support them to have difficult conversations with their child about the death of their loved one. In each episode we are joined by Anna, a mother with lived experience, Dr. Philip Dodd, Clinical Advisor of the HSE National Office of Suicide Prevention and Gina Cantillon, Project Leader of Barnardos Children’s Bereavement Service. This podcast series is a conversation spilt into six parts.
