Many people struggle with the problem of pain and suffering when it comes to the question of God’s existence. They struggle to reconcile the existence of pain and suffering and an all good God. In this video, I provide how to handle this problem, and to learn from it a valuable lesson, and to understand that a good God can and would allow for pain and suffering.

On Republican Conservative Divide

My two cents on all the Republican or Conservative infighting that has been happening over the past couple weeks. My advice to my fellow millennials and the upcoming Gen Z types: study the Bible, I mean really study it, then learn about our real history and culture and about every signer of the constitution and the Declaration of Independence. The use all of the knowledge of wisdom and good examples of American values and beliefs to make your own judgments… You will know them by their fruits.

Morality, Revelation, and Salvation with Natural Law

I made this recording while listening to a group of apologists ask question of Dr. William Lane Craig regarding his new book and theological questions in general. This recording ties together the comprehension of natural law applicable to humanity, our moral agency and capacity to fabricate our own morality, and what makes us uniquely human. These things tie us together with something greater than our created, animalistic natures. What makes us human is our moral agency. When we reject the objective moral law, we become more animalistic and less human. Yet when we allow ourselves to sense and discover the natural law order for humanity, we become more human and something greater. We can only sense and discover this if it is something apart from us. Goodness, morality, is God, and thus our sense of morality is our sense of God. When He communicates His nature to us, we hear the natural law order, the objective morality we can sense. I also discuss how if we stick to animalistic ways, rejecting morality, we will follow natural law outcomes, thus we lose our humanity. When God sent Jesus, He provided us the perfect example of Himself in humanity, and showed us His love through His sacrifice and was raised from the dead to prove He is God. So we can fully detect Him through the natural law order and the sacrifice of Jesus, thus coming to salvation. Obedience to God is adherence to objective morality in line with the example of Jesus. Our salvation comes from faith in Jesus and His work to die in our place. When we pursue morality, living righteously, we become something greater and as we seek God with all our heart, mind, and soul, He reveals Himself more to us. Thus we choose between living a natural law biologically set life, disregarding our sense of God, and applying our intelligence to disrupt what would otherwise naturally be our end: death. Or, we choose to follow our sense of God, live aligned with objective morality (God being the goodness we sense), and accept Jesus’ sacrifice, making us into better humans and bringing us to salvation and God’s promise: eternal life.

Tariffs - One Economic Principle That Explains The Present Impacts

Reviewing one of the key factors that are causing the impact of tariffs to not be what many were expecting. All things being equal, given company A in country A, and company B in country B, each producing a product that are substitutes of each other being sold in market A: 1. When the primary difference is price, customers in Market A will go for the cheaper product when all other factors about the product are the same. (I.e. quality, craftsmanship, etc). 2. If company A pays taxes and other cost of existence factors for a business in country A that are greater than what company B pays, Company B is at a competitive advantage. Company B can make the product cheaper. 3. A tariff increases the cost to bring to market the product of company B. 4. When the tariff increases costs for Company B such that they must sell at a high price, and the tariff causes the cost to equal that of company A’s costs, then the market for the product is equalized. 5. Therefore, the price for the product from company B is now equal to that of Company A. So other competitive factors come into play for the customer in market A than price (i.e. quality, brand loyalty, etc) 6. Inflation, being the increase in price for goods based on change in the value of currency, being expanded to include increases in price due to cost increases: inflation will be affected by tariffs when they increase the cost to bring to market such that it is greater than the cost of existence of company A, allowing company A to increase prices for larger profitability while remaining competitive.

TC0005 - What is Knowledge?

This video covers the American Worldview's description of Knowledge. Answering this question is important to address when considering your acceptance of any worldview. Does the answer cohere with how it describes reality and truth? What real thing is the answer pointing to, if anything? The American Worldview uses the term #Knowledge to point to the reality of our memory. It is the stored information of or about something real. Our knowledge consists of things we know (having experienced the reality personally) and those things we know about (having been informed of the reality by another person). Our knowledge can be comprised of true statements and concepts, or of false statements and concepts. Our knowledge can be of the real thing, and of our awareness of our knowledge being true or false. How this translates into real world use is important in how we live our life and how we build relationships with others.
