We also delve into: Michael forgets about the existence of PAUL BLART, Ken Jeong: box office gold, Al Pacino's 401K, JACK AND JILL = FIGHT CLUB 2?, is a HEAT 2 out of the question, Mila Kunis attending the Marine Corps Ball in our old college town, and Netflix screws us over. Enjoy!

The Weeks In Review Episode 5

itunes pic [https://assets.podomatic.net/ts/4a/cc/5c/weeksisaac/1400x1400_4826926.jpg] This week we had a very special guest on TWIR. We welcomed lead singer/multi-instrumentalist Ted Joyner from the indie rock band Generationals onto the show. This New Orleans band is blowing up huge, having just made appearances on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic and Seattle's legendary KEXP before we got them on the phone. We discuss his background in music; past bands; his friendship with bandmate Grant Widmer; the new album Actor-Caster; the critically acclaimed debut album Con Law; the decision to branch out musically and risk it all on the second album; and the band's N.O. influences. Drop feedback at theweeksinreview@yahoo.com and let us know how we're doing. Thanks for listening!

itunes pic [https://assets.podomatic.net/ts/4a/cc/5c/weeksisaac/1400x1400_4726307.jpg] Your host, film critic Isaac Weeks of NewRaleigh.com, is joined once again by his all-around pal Michael Smith to discuss a variety of topics. Things that can be in this week's podcast: We give our thoughts on the new TNT series FALLING SKIES, FX's LOUIE, and hop into the wayback machine to revisit TRON LEGACY, HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART ONE, and I watch KUNG FU PANDA 2 yet again, but am surprised by the results of this viewing. We also give our reviews on current films: BAD TEACHER: We had some laughs, but was it WITH or AT the film? LARRY CROWNE: It's no JOE VS THE VOLCANO. Depending on who you are, that can go either way. TRANSFORMERS 3: DARK OF THE MOON: I sit this one out, other than to make sarcastic remarks here and there while Michael gives it a verbal bj.
