This outstanding Greek Revival mansion was built by John Hume Lucas who was a wealthy planter. Drayton Hall

Drayton hall is considered one of the finest examples of Georgian Palladian architecture in the United States. Its grounds represent one of the most significant, undisturbed historic landscapes in America. Construction of the house was begun in 1739 by John Drayton, and 7 generations of the Drayton Family lived there until 1974, when the family transferred the property to the National Trust for Historic Preservation. A rare survival, the house had only a few coats of paint in its history and was never upgraded with plumbing or electricity. 107 Ashley Ave was built by Thomas Corbett who was planter on land which his wife Elizabeth Harleston inherited from her John Harleston.
