Beschrijving

The Gift That Was Always For You: Prophecy & the Ordinary Body of Christ   Prophecy was never meant for the stage — it was always meant to be the love language of God, spoken through ordinary people to the person next to them who needs to know they're seen.   In this episode, we take the gift back to where it actually started in Scripture, before it became something to perform or achieve.    We talk about why so many spiritually hungry people are drawn to tarot, energy work, and "the universe sending signs" — and what that hunger is really pointing toward. We look at what Paul actually says prophecy is for in 1 Corinthians 14, the moment a stranger falls on their face because "God is really among you," and why directional, destiny-shaped words are real — but were never meant to be the measure of the gift.   Whether you're spiritually curious, new to faith, or someone who's loved and been wary of this gift in equal measure — this one's for you.   We want to hear from you!   Contact us at  wholefamilypodcast@icloud.com

EP21: Our Father; Close Contact of the God Kind

Show notes    Jesus taught His disciples many things, but when they asked Him how to pray, He began with two simple words: “Our Father.” In this message, we explore the fatherhood of God through Scripture and through the lens of every stage of life, from infancy to adulthood.    Discover how God reveals Himself as a loving Father who gives identity, delight, belonging, guidance, correction, and unwavering presence.   Whether your experience with earthly fathers was beautiful, painful, or somewhere in between, this message is an invitation to encounter the Father Jesus came to reveal.    Through Christ, we are welcomed home, adopted into God's family, and invited to live as secure sons and daughters who know they are loved, know who they are, and know where they belong.   Scriptures: * Matthew 6:9 * Genesis 1:26 * Genesis 2:8, 16-17 * Genesis 3:8, 21 * Deuteronomy 32:6 * Isaiah 63:16 * Matthew 3:17 * Matthew 5:9, 16 * Luke 2:49 * John 20:17 * Romans 8:14-17 * Galatians 4:4-7 * 1 John 3:1 * Luke 15:11-32   Reflect This Week: 1. Where do I still relate to God through performance instead of sonship? 2. What would change if I truly believed I belong in the Father's family? 3. How is God inviting me to experience His love, presence, and delight in this season?     We want to hear from you!   Contact us at  wholefamilypodcast@icloud.com

EP18: Finding Meaning In Your Wilderness

Show notes    The Montage    Have you ever thought about the montage in your favorite movie? That cinematic stretch of time that compresses weeks or months of wrestling, waiting, and becoming into a few powerful moments?   Here’s the thing — we all have montage seasons. And unlike the movies, ours don’t pass in seven minutes.   In this episode I’m talking to anyone whose dream feels buried, whose calling seems like it quietly died, or who’s been in a wilderness season that just keeps going. The lonely, confusing, embarrassing in-between that nobody talks about.   But what if that wilderness isn’t working against you — what if it’s actually for you?   We cover:   •Why death and burial are often required for resurrection and multiplication (John 12:24-25) •The 4 characteristics of a true wilderness and what they reveal about our souls •How Jesus himself was led into wilderness before his ministry began (Luke 4:1) •How to hold fast to God’s word when the enemy gets loud in the dry season •And — for those who can feel the wilderness wrapping up — what it looks like to take courage and bloom again   Scripture referenced: John 12:24-25  Luke 4:1-2, 14-19  Luke 5:16  Mark 1:35  Romans 12:2  John 15:1-5  2 Chronicles 15:7   Book mentioned: Anonymous by Alicia Britt Chole   Some things have to die and be buried so they can come to life and flourish. The growth that happens in the dark is the actual sustenance the plant needs to bloom above ground.   Take courage. Your work will be rewarded.   We want to hear from you!   Contact us at  wholefamilypodcast@icloud.com
