Over Tip of the Tongue Myo

I'm going to be chatting about the full body connection to the tongue, and everything that is impacted by oral dysfunctions. I was the poster child for all issues tongue tie, and my family & healthcare providers never connected the dots. My mission is to raise awareness of these connections to hopefully prevent these issues from arising in our future generations to come! Come along with me to hear my story, and all the issues I have noticed in patients over the years as a dental hygienist & research I have found as a myofunctional therapist in training. I cannot wait to change lives with this field of work.

Episode 1 - My Story into Myofunctional Therapy

Welcome to my podcast! I'm Fayth, a registered dental hygienist in Ontario and a future myofunctional therapist. In this week's episode, I'm going to be touching on what the heck a myofunctional therapist is, and the relevance of this field to me. I share some experiences from my past, from birth to adulthood to be exact. I wanted to share my story because I know there's so many people out there that can relate. My goal is to educate people about orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMD's) and how they impact the WHOLE body. I want to change the way we treat symptoms over root causes! Thanks for being here with me & being a part of my journey!
