‘Leave the safety of the shore and discover the stars,’ comes from the ancient Polynesian practice of Wayfinding - a process of orienting and traveling from place to place by studying the stars, the wind, and the currents of the sea. When you leave the safety of the shore, understanding that darkness eventually calms down in space, you will discover the stars - points of light that offer us guidance as we cross the open water from where we were, to where we’re going.

a story that began early one day...

WYNYARD: the prologue

Trying something a little different - at least different for me. What this recording is will be the prologue to a longer story about trains, the prairies and those who eat slugs. I'll lay that down in time but if you have a comment about this - drop me a note. Keep on keepin' on as the rocker says.

The next day I booked passage on a boat that took me on an overnight crossing to Crete and a car and cart ride later arrived in Irepatra and met Papa. But my time is up – so we’ll meet again perhaps - and if we do - I can tell you about being pinned to the sand by waves that had crushed me to the ocean floor…
