Episode 2 - High Glanau Manor with Helena Gerrish

In this second episode of Voices from the Hall, architectural historian Oliver Gerrish visits High Glanau Manor in Monmouthshire. The first Architectural Editor of Country Life magazine, Henry Avray Tipping (1855 - 1933), made his home here in the 1920s. The house was designed by Chepstow architect Eric Francis Carwardine Francis (1887 - 1976). Tipping made the garden, which has been meticulously restored over the last quarter of a century by garden history author Helena Gerrish. Filmed in the grounds and interior of High Glanau Manor, the conversation explores the life and work of Henry Avray Tipping, the history of Arts and Crafts garden design, and the work of Helena Gerrish. 🎙️ Voices from the Hall is a new podcast and YouTube series celebrating the stories, people, and spirit of historic houses across Britain. Filmed and edited by Edward Raison. 🖌️ Learn more about High Glanau https://www.highglanaugardens.com/ [https://www.highglanaugardens.com/] 🏛️ Follow Oliver Gerrish on Instagram: @archmusicman 🌐 Subscribe for more episodes and follow us on Instagram: @voicesfromthehall
