7.5.26 - Genesis: The Roles We Play (Full Service)

This is the full contemporary service with worship, message, and mission focus. This Sunday, Pastor Mark continued our series in Genesis and the story of Jacob and Esau in Genesis 27. We looked at the blessing when Jacob deceives his father, Isaac. The thing is though, Jacob isn't the only one trying to get away with something. Isaac tries to bless Esau, but he knows that God had already told him that Esau would be the one who serves Jacob. By doing so, Isaac was disobeying God's will and taking things into his own hands. Rebekah sees this and tries to take things into her own hands. However, we need to understand that sometimes when we try to do that right thing, we do it the wrong way. Everyone had there own ideas and forgot to trust in God's plan. In the end, God's sovereignty triumphs. Are you being impatient with something in your life?
