๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Ephesians 5:21 โ€” How Do I Honor God When My Marriage Is Hard? | Part 1 What does it really mean to honor God when you are married to an unsaved husband or walking through a difficult marriage? In this episode, we begin a deeper study of Ephesians 5:21: "Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." The word submission can bring up many emotions, especially for wives who have been hurt, ignored, mistreated, or made to feel like they are responsible for their husband's behavior. But what does the Bible actually teach? In Part 1 of this two-part study, we talk about what it means to live out of reverence for Christ when your husband does not share your faith or when your marriage is difficult. We will discuss: ๐Ÿ’› You cannot force your husband to love Jesus or change his choices. ๐Ÿ’› Your husband's relationship with God is his responsibility. ๐Ÿ’› Your husband's sin does not have to become your identity. ๐Ÿ’› How to respond to difficult situations without allowing someone else's behavior to change who you are in Christ. ๐Ÿ’› The difference between biblical humility and weakness. ๐Ÿ’› Why loving your husband does not mean enabling sin. ๐Ÿ’› Why physical abuse is never okay and why a wife can love her husband while still having healthy boundaries and seeking help. ๐Ÿ’› How to surrender your own heart and responses to God, even when you cannot control your husband's actions. We also look at Abigail in 1 Samuel 25, a woman who lived with a harsh and foolish husband but responded with wisdom and courage. If you have ever prayed: "Lord, how do I be the wife You have called me to be when my husband isn't treating me the way I want to be treated?" or: "How do I honor God when I feel like I'm the only one trying?" This episode is for you. Your husband's choices do not determine who you are. You are not defined by his anger. You are not defined by his addiction. You are not defined by his spiritual condition. You are not defined by the struggles in your marriage. Your identity is found in Christ. ๐Ÿ“– Scriptures Mentioned: โ€ข Ephesians 5:21 โ€ข Romans 12:21 โ€ข 1 Samuel 25 โ€ข Philippians 2:3-5 This week's reading is Chapters 16 & 17. After you finish reading, join us in the Facebook group for discussion, encouragement, and prayer. Praying for Your Husband's Temptations & Mind (Chapters 6 & 7)

Welcome back to the Praying Wives Book Club! ๐Ÿ’• In this episode, we're discussing Chapter 6: His Temptations and Chapter 7: His Mind from The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian. Our husbands face spiritual battles every day. Temptation isn't limited to one areaโ€”it can show up as discouragement, pride, anger, fear, anxiety, unhealthy habits, or believing lies instead of God's truth. As wives, God has given us the incredible privilege of standing in the gap through prayer. Together we'll explore what Scripture says about temptation, renewing the mind, and praying God's Word over our husbands. We'll look at how verses like 1 Corinthians 10:13, Romans 12:2, and Philippians 4:8 can guide our prayers and encourage us to trust God with the battles we cannot see. No matter where your husband is in his faith journeyโ€”whether he's walking closely with the Lord, struggling spiritually, or doesn't know Christ yetโ€”your prayers matter. ๐Ÿ“– Scriptures in Today's Episode: * 1 Corinthians 10:13 * Romans 12:2 * Philippians 4:8 * Ephesians 6:10โ€“18 ๐Ÿ“š Next Reading Assignment: Chapter 8 โ€“ His Fears Chapter 9 โ€“ His Purpose ๐Ÿ’ฌ Join our Facebook group to continue the discussion, share your takeaways, and connect with other wives reading through The Power of a Praying Wife together. Just keep faithfully bringing your husband before the Lordโ€”one prayer at a time. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™ Linktree:https://linktr.ee/wifewhoprays EMAIL: wifewhoprays@gmail.com
