Four goals would be scored in the first period with Paul Rodrigues getting the scoring started on a 2 on 1 rush at 7:04. Brendan Reich tied the game at 10:44 as he sneaked in back door. Five minutes later, Jon Whitelaw scored a powerplay goal to restore the lead before Bowdoin tied it once again with just a minute to go, Reich scoring his 2nd of the game. The Lakers went back on top when Luke Moodie deflected in a Hank Van Boxmeer shot at 7:30 of the 2nd period, but Bowdoin would once again rally as Jeff Fanning scored on the powerplay at 9:04. David Titanic, who netted only one goal during the regular season scored his first of two on the night at 18:36 to make it 4-3. The Polar Bears tied the game early in the 3rd when Harry Matheson trickled one past Paul Beckwith. Titanic’s 2nd of the night would be the eventual game winner at the 5:38 mark. Owen Kelly and Matheson traded goals bringing it to a 6-5 score, before Whitelaw got his 2nd of the game on a deflection to make it 7-5, the final score.
