You're not Alone Podcast

My name is Anthony Anzalone and I am starting this podcast to help those who battle the daily horrors of Addiction. My mission is to let those out there know they are not alone in this fight, that there are millions of people in the world who struggle with this potentially fatal disease everyday. I myself battled addiction for over 20 years of my life. It caused me and my family a tremendous amount of pain in suffering in that time. Im here today talking to you now 65 months clean. I have not touched a drink or drug throughout that time, but it’s not easy. Not a day goes by where I don’t speak about my addiction, or have a situation come up that reminds me of something I had done during the time of my using. It’s a daily battle, addiction kills, robs, lies, waits, controls, and changes everything about who we are as people. The good news is, is that you are not alone in this fight. There are so many people out there like myself who are here to help in this battle. Its my hope that by starting this podcast I can help those who haven’t yet found the confidence to reach out and ask for help, or maybe help someone who is newly clean and is having a hard time adjusting to the world as it happens. Regardless of what the issue is Im here to help. Im here to guide, advise, and listen to anyone out there who feels like they have no one to turn to. The bottom line in all this is I was once in your shoes and I thought I had no one to turn too. After admitting I need help and attending rehab I realized I’m not alone in this ugly disease. There are so many people out there with the same issues I have.I wont lie though the numbers are against us, but everyday you can chose not to use anymore if that is what you want. Maybe just maybe with my help and my resources you might be the next person to say no to addiction. You may be the next person to experience life the way it should be. Feeling every emotion and every obstacle and handling it without substance, experiencing all that life has to offer in its fullest. Thank you for listening, this is my story…..
