Jimmy Gulzar and Scary Spice Mel B met during the mega girl group’s 1998 Spice World Tour where they danced together provocatively on stage throughout Europe and the U.S. Their tour romance resulted in a wedding, and the birth of the pair’s daughter, Phoenix Chi Gulzar, in 1999. Jimmy Gulzar and Mel B divorced in 2000 amidst Gulzar’s accusations of substance abuse and infidelity. What followed were cross-continental, decades-long custody and co-parenting battles, as Gulzar claims to have been forced to navigate the choppy waters of ex-wife Melanie’s volatile love life and unconventional parenting. In this exclusive interview, Jimmy Gulzar recounts his story with the Spice Girls, his marriage and divorce, co-parenting with Spice Girl Mel B, his relationship with his daughter Phoenix Chi Gulzar (Brown), his social interactions with David and Victoria Beckham, and where things stand now between him and his and Mel B’s daughter.
