Nicole Malachowski is the first woman to fly with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, a 1996 USAFA graduate, an F-15E Strike Eagle pilot, Squadron Commander, White House Fellow that advised former First lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, National Women’s Hall of Fame inductee and fierce veterans’ health advocate. Today we’re bringing you Rear Admiral (Ret.) Peg Klein. Peg entered the Naval Academy as a pioneer with the Class of 1981, later returned as the first female Commandant, and helped stand up an entirely new domain of modern warfare. Her career spans nuclear command and control, cyber operations, and shaping the next generation of Navy leaders. Peg didn’t follow the girl boss trend — she’s the reason it exists.
