episode The Vault Expert | The Power of Being Unoffendable cover

The Vault Expert | The Power of Being Unoffendable

Why Everything Doesn't Deserve Your Energy In this episode of The Vault Expert, Patti Katter explores the hidden cost of offense, emotional reactions, and the amount of energy we often give away to people, situations, and opinions that ultimately do not matter. As Independence Day approaches, Patti uses the concept of freedom as a backdrop for a deeper conversation about emotional independence, personal responsibility, and protecting your peace in a world that seems increasingly driven by outrage, division, and constant reaction. Topics discussed include: • Why being offended has become so common in modern culture • The difference between being offended and being harmed • How social media and the attention economy profit from outrage • Why emotional reactions often cost more than we realize • Learning to choose which battles deserve our time and energy • The connection between confidence and emotional resilience • Why purpose-driven people are often harder to offend • The impact our reactions have on younger generations watching us • Protecting your peace without compromising your values • Emotional independence and personal freedom Throughout the episode, Patti shares stories, observations, and practical insights about handling criticism, disagreement, frustration, and conflict without allowing them to control your day, your mindset, or your future. The conversation challenges listeners to consider whether being right is always worth the emotional cost and explores how true confidence often comes from knowing who you are rather than needing everyone else to agree with you. As families and communities gather to celebrate Independence Day, this episode serves as a reminder that freedom is not only something celebrated as a nation—it can also be found in learning to let small things stay small, protecting your peace, and refusing to give away your emotional energy to things that do not deserve it. Sometimes the strongest response is no response at all. Happy Fourth of July from The Vault Expert. Stocks and Diversification

Stocks and Diversification Today's episode covers a lot of information about investing in stocks. We cover stocks, ETF's, mutual funds, and IPO's. We also talk about diversification, what some people believe that is, and how we look at that term differently than most financial advisors. We also talk about some of the past bubbles, bailouts, and good as well as bad decisions by some companies. There is a difference between investing and speculating. You can have real losses or nominal losses. What are ultra-high net worth individuals investing in? Should anyone be a billionaire? Join us as we talk about all of this and more! episode LIVE with The Famous Dr AL and Susie Singer Carter cover

LIVE with The Famous Dr AL and Susie Singer Carter

Guest: Susie Singer Carter Episode Overview Long-term care is a topic most families avoid—until they have no choice. In this eye-opening episode, filmmaker and advocate Susie Singer Carter shares how her mother's experience in a five-star nursing facility exposed widespread failures within the long-term care system. She discusses understaffing, preventable neglect, patient advocacy, and why public awareness is essential to reform. Through her documentary No Country for Old People and advocacy organization ROAR 4 LTC, Susie is mobilizing families across America to demand accountability and dignity for aging loved ones. Key Takeaways * Many long-term care problems stem from chronic understaffing and profit-driven business models. * Families should educate themselves before a loved one requires care because crises make informed decisions harder. * Preventable issues like pressure sores and medication misuse remain widespread despite existing regulations. * Storytelling and public awareness can drive meaningful healthcare reform. * Collective action—including advocacy events and community organizing—can create pressure for systemic change. Listener Q&A Q: Why do problems happen even in highly rated nursing homes?  A: Susie explains that ratings don't always reflect day-to-day care. Understaffing and operational issues can exist even in top-rated facilities, making family vigilance essential. Q: What are "never events" in long-term care?  A: Pressure sores, also called bed sores, are considered preventable by federal guidelines and should not occur when patients receive proper care and monitoring. Q: How can families advocate for change?  A: Susie believes public pressure is the most powerful force. She encourages people to educate themselves, share stories, and participate in advocacy initiatives. Q: What kept Susie motivated after losing her mother?  A: Love. She says her mother's suffering inspired her mission to ensure others don't endure the same experience and to advocate with empathy and compassion. What You'll Learn From This Episode * How the long-term care system operates behind the scenes. * Warning signs families should watch for in nursing homes. * Why preparation is critical before a care crisis occurs. * How advocacy movements create healthcare reform. * The role love, empathy, and community play in caregiving and change. episode Gina Gardiner & Friends with Bryan Yates on Running Is For Fugitives cover

Gina Gardiner & Friends with Bryan Yates on Running Is For Fugitives

About Bryan Yates If you're looking for a standard executive coach to optimize your workflow, I'm probably not the right fit. I don't come from HR or corporate theory. I come from Production. I'm a former Disney producer who coaches. That means I'm always moving you toward the version of the movie you're already playing in your head. You know the one. Not the idealized blockbuster, but the grounded reality where the dialogue is clear, the scene has purpose, and the other characters move differently because you are moving differently. I help you work backward from that vision to make it real. The Lens That Shapes My Work People don't hire me for my résumé. They hire me for how my experiences shaped the way I listen, the way I see, and the way I partner into their challenges. My capacity to do this was forged in some strange places: Working with thousands of Holocaust survivor testimonies at Steven Spielberg's Shoah Foundation trained me to listen for what's not being said. Leading creative and technical teams at Disney taught me how to deliver complex ideas with emotional clarity. Building (and eventually ending) a boutique fitness brand taught me how to navigate the fallout when business gets personal. My actual coaching career started on the road—as a cycling coach for executive athletes. I've ridden over 100,000 miles, often pulling others through climbs they didn't think they could finish. That shows up in my work now: Pacing. Pressure. Positioning. Knowing when to push and when to recover. More importantly, it taught me to read the body language of "I can't." I've learned that "I'm fine" usually hides a very different truth. Website: https://locomotivcoaching.com [https://locomotivcoaching.com]
