(Pastor J. Hartland, Crossroads Campus) Hebrews 7:1-10 We are introduced to Melchizedek, the mysterious priest-king who foreshadows a greater priesthood than anything found in the line of Levi. By showing how even Abraham honored Melchizedek, the passage reveals that Jesus’ priesthood is greater, older, and more ultimate than the entire Old Testament system. Because of this, we can trust that Jesus stands as the true and final priest who brings us fully to God.
