Beskrivelse

In what I can only describe as a fantastic but slightly chaotic podcast episode it was great to be joined by 2x Symetra Tour winner, Former LPGA Tour player, 2016 Olympian for Mexico & current LET Access Series pro Alejandra Llaneza who phoned in from Madrid after competing in Santander Golf Tour event in preparation for getting her LET Access Series season for 2026 up and running this week in Czechia after finishing last season in the top 25 in the order of Merit standings which included a win at Santander Golf Tour Avila.  Ale is from the beautiful city of Mexico City and began the game at 6 years old before winning the first of her 7 Mexican Junior Championships at the age of 11. Ale would go to University of Arizona and would win Rookie of the Year for 2007-08 season before winning on Cactus Tour in 2011 as an amateur then turning pro in 2012.  There has been many pro highlights from Llaneza as she comes into her 14th season on tour as a pro with milestones such as winning Silver Medal at 2014 Central American & Caribbean Games in Veracruz, finishing 4th at 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, winning twice on Symetra Tour at 2015 Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Charity Classic & 2019 Garden City Charity Classic, competing on LPGA Tour for 4 years between 2013-17. Also playing in 5 Major Championship events at 3x KMPG PGA Championships, 1x US Women's Open & 1x Evian Championship but nothing I'm sure will compare to the sense of pride of being selected in 2016 to represent Mexico at Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro a truly memorable experience for Ale. Come for the great career journey and stay for the Fruity Taco, dancing to the Macarena & Tequila chat. Not laughed so much in an episode in a long long time Ale was an iconic guest and can't thank her enough! Download via Podbean, Apple Podcasts & Spotify, also on YouTube.

episode (Ep 219) Rebecca Earl cover

(Ep 219) Rebecca Earl

In this latest podcast episode I was joined by 2019 English Women's Amateur Strokeplay Champion Rebecca Earl who comes off a solid start to this year with a top 10 at Blair Atholl on Sunshine Ladies Tour in South Africa, T25th at Madaef Golfs Ladies Open in Morocco, T35th at Allegria Ladies Open in Austria both on LET Access Series as well as winning Rose Ladies Series event at Formby Golf Club a terrific achievement! Rebecca is from just outside of Chelmsford outside of London and started the game at the age of 11 where she joined Bishop's Stortford Golf Club but currently represents Princes Golf Club. In 2019, Rebecca would become the English Women's Amateur Strokeplay Champion before going to Wofford College in South Carolina where she would win 3x Individual NCAA DI Collegiate events before finishing off her final year at University of Houston in Texas. Rebecca would also finish runner up at 2023 English Women's Amateur Strokeplay.  Rebecca would turn pro in 2023 and would have a T12th at Santander Golf Tour Avila. In 2024 her best finish was 53rd at GET Golfing on LETAS proving just how difficult at times Golf can be at the highest pro levels something Rebecca was very open and honest about to her respect. In 2025 would see a T15th at Madaef Golf's Ladies Open, 48th at Czech Challenge & T13th at the prestigious Rose Ladies Open but would also see a run of 13 missed cuts out of 16 events although a very frustrating period it was important to find out how to deal with such adversity.  2026 has been a much better start for Rebecca and I wish her all the best this year in her push to the Ladies European Tour. Thanks for the chat and being open through some of the hardships. Download via Podbean, Apple & Spotify, also on YouTube.

episode (Ep 218) Louisa Carlbom cover

(Ep 218) Louisa Carlbom

In this latest episode I was joined by current LET Access Series pro Louisa Carlbom after a solid start to this season with back to back 9th placed finishes & 3rd on Sunshine Ladies Tour which got Louisa into Joburg Ladies Open on LET where she would finish 38th before a 23rd at Allegria Ladies Open on LET Access.  Louisa is from Onsala outside of the city of Göteborg and began the game of Golf at the age of 6 at Gräppås Golfklubb and would start to compete in junior events at 13. Louisa would win on Ahlsell Nordic Golf Tour in 2019 as an Amateur before joining San Jose State University where Louisa would be a 3x WGCA All-American Scholar and  she would win 20th Landfall Tradition event at Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, North Carolina. In 2024, Louisa would turn professional and would finish 52nd in her first full start on LET Access Series at Santander Golf Tour Avila, while best finish of the year was 22nd at Slovak Ladies Open. 2025 would see Louisa finish runner up at her home country event in Sweden at Landeryds GK which she admits gave her the confidence and belief for a good season with 3 other Top 10's (4th at Irish), (9th at Lavaux) & (4th at season ending Calatayud) to finish 17th on LET Access Series Order of Merit standings.  A player certainly capable of a win on LET Access Series soon. Wish you all the best for this year, thanks Louisa for the chat.  Downloads via Podbean, Apple Podcasts & Spotify, also on YouTube.

episode (Ep 217) Canice Screene cover

(Ep 217) Canice Screene

Ahead of the 2nd event of the LET Access Series season at Allegria Resort in Austria, I was pleased to be joined by LETAS pro Canice Screene as we discuss a lot of good stuff in the episode including a wild story at the end that you need to listen to!  Canice was born in Croydon area of London and has represented Republic of Ireland since the age of 13. In her own words she has always seen herself as being fully Irish with both her parents being Irish. Canice would start the game round about the age of 4/5 and would start competing at age of 8.  At the age of 13, Canice would win Surrey Rookie Tour & would also win South Regional U18's Championship before going to The States to Boston College and for Boston she would captain the team in the 1st Division for the final couple of years of her time there. Canice described herself as a great captain and enjoyed the responsibility! In 2025, she would turn pro and would start off quite well with 11th at Madaef Golf's Ladies Open and 22nd at Super Bock Ladies Open on LETAS and 32nd on LET at Dutch Ladies Open. At KMPG Women's Irish Open would see Canice finish 37th in her home country event. This year has been a good start having seen a T8th at Madaef Golf's Ladies Open in Morocco & last week coming up just shy of qualifying for US Women's Open at Riviera CC finishing in 5th place. A talented player with a lot of potential and it was a pleasure to speak with Canice with some good laughs had. All the best for 2026.
