Tanis and Company aboard the Perechon are pursued by dragons. It turns out Kitiara isn’t happy about how Tanis left. Tanis is still trying to convince the rest of the Companions that he didn’t betray them. They seem skeptical now and that feeling will only grow. The ship, in vain, attempts to escape but only ends up being drawn into the Maelstrom at the heart of the Blood Sea. Tanis hopes, in vain, that Kit will not recognize Berem. Raistlin does recognize Kit. Tanis comes clean. It is not pretty. Despite the madness of the storm Kitiara continues to pursue them, Tanis asks for forgiveness. Many secrets are revealed. Raistlin abandons the rest of the party. Tanis and the remaining Companions are seemingly lost in the great whirlpool at the heart of the Blood Sea. Welcome to Dragons of Spring Dawning!  We finally learn something about Berem. It isn’t pretty. Neither is the ‘break-up’ between Tanis and Kit! Which Tanis initiates in the middle of the night while Kit is away. His reunion with the rest of the Companions is full of tension. The tension is further heightened when Tanis demands they all leave as soon as possible the next morning. After arguing with the Captain of the Maquesta, Tanis and Company sail out of Flotsam. Kit finds Tanis’ break-up note as soon as she returns and handles that about how you’d expect her to. The endcap to Season 2 is an exclusive interview w/ former TSR designer, and current Elder Scrolls Online Senior Writer, Jeff Grubb. Jeff Grubb is an award-winning author, game designer, and world-builder. His extensive credits include AD&D’s Monster Manual II, Marvel Super Heroes game system, Unearthed Arcana, Manual of the Planes (1st ed.), Spelljammer, Al-Qadim, Tempest Feud, Urban Arcana, and has contributed and assisted on many more. He is the author of numerous short stories for the Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, and Thieves World settings. He is the author of Azure Bonds, The Wyvern’s Spur, and the Song of the Saurials. He was also written novels set in the Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Warcraft, Starcraft, and Magic: the Gathering worlds. We were immensely grateful that he took the time out of his busy schedule to sit down and talk to us a bit about the early days of TSR, the creation of Dragonlance, his contributions to Dungeons & Dragons and more. Here we are at the end of Dragons of Winter Night and Season 2 of the podcast. In these chapters the Knights of Solamnia hold off the dragon armies for a day, Sturm sacrifices his life to save the lives of those he loves. Laurana and Tas use the dragon orb and dragonlances to defeat the dragon armies. Laurana and Kitiara meet. It does not go well. Alhana also learns of the death of Sturm. While the Sturm and Derek’s feud comes to a boiling point, Tas explores the bizarre architecture of the High Clerist’s Tower. What are all these rooms and gates? Why was it built this way? What secret lies at its long neglected heart? Rest assured Tas will find out! Derek makes a bold claim and an even bolder action. Sturm abandons the Measure. The Knights, minus Sturm and his men, venture forth to confront the dragonarmies, with Derek confident of his victory and glory. Sturm urges Laurana to take others and flee. The knights are doomed if they do not get support from Palanthas or some other place. Laurana refuses, her place is with her friends here. Tas reveals what he found in the tower, Laurana thinks it might just save them all. This knowledge comes too late to save Derek and the knights who took to the field.
