After learning about bread making with fresh milled flour from Sue Becker, the KYC team knew that their new found life-changing knowledge needed to be shared with their community. Taking a big leap of faith the team watched as God brought multiple speakers together to orchestrate a conference in 2024 that was bigger than any of them could have imagined. The event produced dozens of testimonies for the months following and we knew that there would be more events to come. In this episode Dr. Ben welcomes Matthew Efird. In 2019, Matthew's second son, Noah Clifton Efird, was diagnosed in utero with Trisomy 13. They chose to carry him to term. Noah lived for only 57.5 hours but his life helped reorient the calling on Matthew's life to help others find their purpose. She has been working in the mental health field for 23 years and for the past 16 years, she has managed a holistic psychotherapy practice. Kelli is passionate about holistic alternatives to mainstream mental health treatments, and helping people to exit the mental health system all together. Before becoming a therapist, she worked as a clinical researcher in universities and psychiatric hospitals as well as residential substance abuse treatment centers and in psychology clinics as a psychometrist. It was her time working as a research clinician on studies bringing ssris to market that shifted her career. Instead of diagnosing and drugging people, Kelli learned that providing education on trauma, the body, and root cause solutions was the way to ensure people don’t get trapped as life long customers in the mental health system.
